Sanico HQ Building

Sanico was started by Michael Peters with a home equity loan and a dream.  Since the start our one goal has been to provide our customers with outstanding service! 

Our comprehensive programs, systems and committment to excellence make us the best partnership value in the Northeast!
   


  • SANICO started in 1984 by Michael Peters.

  • 1984 - Rented a building on Prentice Road in Vestal, NY from a friend.

  • 1985 - Lori Allen was hired as first full time employee.  Today Lori is VP of Finance.

  • 1987 - Moved to new Distribution Center in Kirkwood Industrial Park.

  • 1991 - Created & implemented comprehensive Store Sanitation Program for a major sporting goods retailer.  Today serving over 250 stores nationally!

  • 2000 - Acquired 800 accounts & several key employees from Unisource.

  • 2000 - Acquired Sanitary Maintenance Division from Maines Paper.

  • 2002 - Invested in latest industry software & hardware systems.

  • 2002 - Completed major warehouse & office expansion project.

  • 2003 - Provided laptops to all sales reps to enhance customer service.

  • 2004 - Acquired the Leo Leviton Co & have relocated to a modern facility.

  • Today…the fastest growing Janitor Supply distributor in the Northeast.
